WHAT A KO: Carlos Prates Just SMOKED Geoff Neal With A Buzzer Beater Spinning Back Elbow

HOLY SHIT WHAT A KNOCKOUT!!! We needed that tonight!!! This card has had some good fights, surprising upsets, and definite highlights - but we didn’t have a violent stand-out knockout to blow the roof off the place….until Carlos Prates had something to say about that. With one second left in a dominant round, Prates landed a devastating spinning back elbow that flatlined Geoff Neal for the first time in his UFC career. It was a buzzer beater that had the United Center come unglued - and another win for the god damn Fighting Nerds. They are unstoppable right now.

Prates called for Leon Edwards in Brazil during his post-fight speech, and Dana immediately confirmed that he could fight on that card. Whether or not Leon will be the opponent is still to be seen, but that’d be a great fight to make; honestly I could see them booking Leon against Michael Venom Page in a UK superfight as well, considering he just won before Prates tonight. 

That was just awesome. Those are the moments that remind us why we love this shit. Someone get Prates a cigarette.
