It's Got To Be A Sick Feeling To Nail A Karaoke Song In Front Of The Team Like Colston Loveland Just Did
Karaoke can be a difficult thing to navigate. The majority of people are terrible at it, it's usually at a bar where people can have liquid courage and heckle you. People again are never good at it, everyone wants to try a song that is meaningful to them but no one else cares or the song everyone has heard 3854939320 times on the radio or cliche songs like Baby Got Back etc. No one does well and no one cares. I have opted out of karaoke for basically my entire life, except for 1 night senior week in college but it was a private party with just us so it felt like I didn't disrupt an outsiders night, and plan to for the rest of it. Too much risk for me.
However, when you crush karaoke it's such a flex. Especially in front of teammates. That's a war zone. You think some guy 3 High Noons deep saying "You suck" in a bar is bad? Now imagine teammates doing it, they are ruthless. You'll never hear the end of it. Hazing rookies is a right of passage, and they'll hold it over you for what feels like forever. Being able to NAIL it is such a relief, and Colston Loveland did just that. Absolutely nailed it with the dance moves and everything. 10 out of 10. Well done kid!
