The Most Frustrating Thing About The Mets This Week Has Been The Phillies Are BEGGING The Mets To Get Back In The Division Race

The Mets are 5 games back and to be honest it still feels like 50 because the pitching staff couldn’t throw a complete game in LITTLE LEAGUE (6 innings), we make stupid mistakes, and guys go on cold streaks at the worst possible time. But some real ground could have been picked up the last two nights and cut this thing to 3 (WHICH IS A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE) and give a little bit of hope to “stay in the fight” as some friends of the program say a lot. 3 games would have been A DELIGHT ! We would have swept the series vs a division rival and bugaboo team over the last CENTURY and been riding high into a big home series (and a weird game in Williamsport) vs The Mariners. 

Now instead of riding high, our fucking heads are in the sand and it feels like the mountain is never ever going to be climbed. Just a typical one step forward two steps back for The Mets. The fucking Phillies are BEGGING us to get back in this thing and we cannot capitalize. It’s massively massively frustrating. Just pray we hold onto the Wild Card at this point.
