Oh No: Reports Are Coming Out That Howard Stern Is Allegedly So "Repelled" By Alex Cooper That Sirius Execs Have To Physically Keep Him Away From Her When She's In Studio

Source - Radio icon Howard Stern is reportedly so repelled by “Call Her Daddy” podcast host Alex Cooper that Sirius XM execs take pains to keep them from running into each other.

“She’s the one that bugs him,” an insider told the Sun earlier this week. “She gets hundreds of millions of hits, she has this mega $125 million deal, and he hates that this young bubbly woman is the big new thing.”

The source added, “That’s who they have to keep Howard away from when she comes to New York.”

30-year-old Cooper — who left Spotify to join SiriusXM in 2024 — is based in Los Angeles. The source claimed that both her presence at Sirius XM and her massive popularity have irked the radio legend, 71.

“It’s completely turned Howard’s world upside down,” the source claimed. “He’s been in radio 40 years, and this change has really shocked everyone.” Reps for Stern and Cooper did not immediately return Page Six’s requests for comment.

Here's the thing…when someone is famous for a longggg time, they start to get weird. Letterman used to throw a carrot as his assistant every time he went on stage. Why? Because no one checked his ass and told him to stop after it happened the first time. No one humanized him and said, "dude, enough." Then after a certain amount of time it becomes too late to say anything. People are afraid, especially when the person who needs to be checked is the person who signs your paycheck. The same holds true for Howard. I've been to the Sirius offices and they literally built him his own private entrance into his studio (which is half the floor) that way he doesn't have to see other people. They've got all sorts of protocols and rules for getting him into the building and interacting with him. It's why he's become known as a dick in his later years. So yeah, it doesn't surprise me that he's (allegedly) being a little bitch about the Founding Father. She's young, she's hot, she's talented, and has about a billion more eyeballs on her than he does.

Artie Lange perfectly described what's happened to Howard eight years ago on Opie and Anthony…

TL/DW: he surrounded himself with "yes men" and got too big for his britches.

From Page Six…

“Alex and Joe Rogan, these massive podcasters, have traditional radio guys stunned,” they added. The insider said Cooper is “female, she’s the next generation.”

“That’s the future,” they explained. “iHeartRadio is desperately trying to find someone like that.”

Meanwhile, a separate insider told the outlet that Stern is upset by Andy Cohen’s success at the network. “Andy’s interviews are regularly promoted by Sirius, while you just don’t hear much about Howard’s interviews these days.”

Meanwhile, Cooper’s star has continued to rise, as she’s interviewed nearly every relevant culturally relevant celebrity from Chappell Roan to Kamala Harris on her podcast.

And that's that. Again, this is all "alleged", so take this article with a grain of salt, but from everything I've read, it seems like Howard is on the way out and he knows it. Which I'm sure is a tough pill to swallow from a guy who's mega successful since the mid 80s. Regardless, shout out to Alex Cooper. What started as a simple gluck gluck somehow ended up with her being a titan of industry. Incredible.
