Insane Day Of Golf: Christo Lamprecht And His Caddie Gave Us The Rare Double Club Toss After He Chipped-In To Win On The Korn Ferry Tour Yesterday
We had an AWESOME golf day yesterday. Perfect for what it was, helping us get to football season. We know what happened at the FedEx St. Jude with Fleetwood's bogey and collapse late, Rose and Spaun having a ridiculous playoff:
Shout out Justin Rose, man. That dude is 45 and has somehow found this second run. I know he hasn't won a major since his US Open win in 2013, but he lost in a playoff to Rory at The Masters this year. He finished 2nd at The Open last year, a 6th at the PGA last year and now this. He's back to looking like a top-15 golfer in the world, he's going to be in Bethpage and I'm terrified to see him there.
But then you had the Korn Ferry Tour down in Omaha and Christo Lamprecht chipping in to win on the last hole. Even better is the celebration. You rarely get the double club toss. We're used to seeing caddies and golfers fuck up a simple high five. It's kind of their move to do that, instead of this. I love it. Golf needs more personality, more emotion. I know it's nearly impossible to do over 72 holes, but if you win, fucking celebrate. Who cares? You chip in like this, you should be throwing that bag in the air.
Oh, it was also his first ever pro win
And his caddie?
Makes sense how you get a little bit of chemistry there. All I know is for very few Sunday's left without football, yesterday delivered. Didn't matter what tour you were looking at, who was playing, guys kept showing up. Shout out Christo.
