Team Guy: Pete Carroll Loves That Geno Smith Went Double Birds To A Seahawks Fan Trying To Call Him A Bust Like Jamarcus Russell
Any time you can can sit there, get everything together and hold some animosity for a preseason game you simply have to. That's at least what this Seahawks fan is doing. I can't imagine trying to rile people up before a preseason game, no matter who is coming back to the stadium or anything like that. Then again I'll never make a sign to a game, so what do I know?
What I do know is:
1. Geno can't be a bigger bust than Jamarcus Russell. Dude was the number 1 overall pick and couldn't make it, Geno Smith was drafted in 2013. You can't be a bust if you stay in the league for at least 12 years, make the playoffs and end up getting traded. So the sign doesn't even make sense.
2. Geno has Pete Carroll, ultimate team guy.
Yeah, that's what I want a coach to say. There's history between these two obviously and the fact that they were both back in Seattle. But I love that Pete Carroll is like what do you want me to say here? Geno probably should have at least been allowed a light slap to the fan. This is where we need the old school Raiders back in our lives. The bad boys of the NFL, the team who always felt like they could go double birds to a fan at any point and then start a fight on the field. Hell, let Pete go double birds at fans if he wants. You gotta leave it all on the field during preseason football.
