Nick Kurtz’s 4-Homer, 6-Hit, 8-RBI Game Is Probably the Best Game by Any Player in MLB History

We may never see another game in our lives like the one A’s rookie Nick Kurtz put together on Friday night. He notched the 20th four-home run game in Major League history, tied Shawn Green’s MLB record 19 total bases in a game and was just the ninth player to ever score six runs in a game.

Oh yeah, he was also about three feet away from being the first player to ever hit five homers in a game.

The fact no player had ever done all of this in a career and Kurtz did it in one night is certifiably insane. Get to know your 2025 American League Rookie of the Year, because he’s going to be crushing Major League pitching for a very long time.
