Adolis Garcia Gave Us One Of The Most Insane Celebrations Of The Year After Hitting A Mammoth Homer In Extras....And Then Lost The Game By Four Runs

Maybe the game of the year last night in the ariplane hanger down there in Texas. O's - Rangers in a legit jaw droppingly insane baseball game that really had it all. Gunnar Henderson and Colton Cowser both hit moonshots in the top of the 10th to put the Orioles up 3. Fast forward and Adolis Garcia is at the plate with two guys, we all knew what was coming next. The O's tried to throw a 20th straight fastball past Garcia (that's a real stat, they threw him 20 straight fastballs last night) and he absolutely pissed on over it. I mean detroyed this baseball, it never stood a chance. Smoked it off the facing of the 2nd deck and boy oh boy did Garcia want to celebrate. Take a look at how he reacts after the homer.

He didn't even start running until after the ball had landed!!! You rarely see that nowadays, it really was the pimp job of all pimp jobs. He's a guy who likes to have fun and show you how good he is, but man when you do that and it's not a walk-off, it's tough when it comes back to bite you in the ass. O's would add on 4 more and win it in 11. Soooooo Garcia did all that, a chest pump, standing at home for 30 seconds, the screaming, the flexing, the bat tossing, ALL OF THAT……just to lose. Let's just say it, that's a tough look for him!

It may look like I don't like the celebration and that couldn't be more wrong. No one loves emotion in sports more than me, I love the bat tosses, I love pitchers screaming into their gloves, I love guys showing their emotions and letting us see how fun it is to celebrate big moments….but you better hope you win the game. Jesse Winker had the most obnoxious celebration of the year last year after walking off the Os, you win the game you can do that. Doing it to tie the game is a choice, we'll say that. I get you're pumped and are psyched up, but you've still got to close it out. Until that happens you probably shouldn't celebrate like you just walked it off in Game 7. Many people are also saying you can't celebrate like that if you're batting like .225, I didn't say that though. Just saying, Adolis!

And O's fans wanting to hit him on Tuesday are dumb too. Just becasue they won't throw at him doesn't make them soft either, I've seen that piss poor take going around. They're trying to win baseball games, not street fights. Nothing about throwing at him is smart, who gives a shit what he did after he hit it, the Orioles won the game and that's the biggest thing of them all. They've got 460 pitchers on the IL, Brandon Young (WHO?) is starting on Tuesday and do you really want toisk Gunnar or someone else getting hurt in a brawl or thrown at too? You want to lose yet another arm to a suspension or injury just to show how tough you are? You want to throw at him early in the game so now your bullpen who is already taxed to death and has had 1 off day since June 10th gets to come in and try to cover 7-8 innings of ball? Yeah, smart move. Couldn't care less that he celebrated like that, I thought it was funny, especially with how it ended. No need to throw at him, they came out on top, that's the whole goal here.

Bottom line is celebrate all you want, it's what makes sports fun…..but you better be damn sure you pull out the W or you look like a clown puffing his chest out in a game you lost. Nothing better than getting to shove that right in back someone's face when they lose.
