Adria Arjona Rumored To Possibly Be The Next 'Wonder Woman' After James Gunn Followed Her On Social Media... Here's Some Pictures To Help You Predict Her Amazonian Potential
(Deadline) - DC Studios co-head James Gunn was asked about following Arjona on social media, which prompted fans to question if she would take on the superhero role. “I follow Adria on Instagram but everybody came out [and said], ‘He just followed her, that means she’s Wonder Woman,'” Gunn said in an interview with Extra. “She’d be a great Wonder Woman, by the way.” Gunn continued, “She was in a movie that I made seven years ago. We’ve been friends and have known each other since that time. I followed her then, I didn’t just follow her.”
“I love James Gunn,” Arjona said in an interview with CinemaBlend in April. “He gave me my first movie ever, which was like my first studio movie, so I owe him a lot.” When asked if Gunn’s social media follow meant anything, Arjona said, “I don’t know,” and crossed her fingers. The actress who gets cast in the Wonder Woman role would follow Gal Gadot who first played the role in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Promo for the new 'Superman' movie is in full swing along with the craziest fan cast theories possible. But as far as demented outlandish internet ideas go, this one is about as strong as they come. And one that I am absolutely rooting for.
You don't need to have eyes let alone possess the LASSO OF TRUTH to see that Adria Arjona is already existing as Wonder Woman in real life. It just makes sense to follow through officially.

And don't get it twisted, she's not just an immortally beautiful face. She can act her ass off too. Stole the show in 'Andor', perfect chemistry with Glen Powell in 'Hit Man', the list goes on and on. Booked and busy as the kids say.
Whether it be wild sci-fi shit or wild dark comedies about the trials & tribulations of attempting an open marriage… Arjona only delivers. So for the foreseeable future I will be SEATED for whatever she chooses to do.
Gotta wonder if dating Aquaman himself Jason Momoa will help or hurt the cause for DC if they are indeed interested? I don't think he'd turn her against them since he's already working again with that studio to play antihero Lobo in 'Supergirl'.

They'd be a pretty incredible power couple if this casting rumor does turn out to be true. I'm just happy to see some brightly lit posters and whispers of hope for the DCU (formerly the DCEU) because there aren't many fond smiles amongst those movie memories. Good job, good effort.
But this new 'Superman' movie looks like a fun summer blockbuster with something for the whole family AND also diehard fans as well.
