We Finally Had An NBA Draft The Way It Should Be - Without Shams Ruining It By Spoiling Picks, Helps He Has 'No Rivals' Now

There has always been a couple dumb things with the NBA Draft. The first being making these guys wear hats of teams they are immediately getting traded from:

I understand trades can't become official until the calendar starts on July 6, but we can use common sense. The second dumb thing being common sense too. Guys spoiling picks by having to be the first to tweet it out. We went years, decades even, without needing guys to spoil picks. You simply watch the TV and wait for Stern or Silver to announce the pick. If you missed the pick, you watched the bottom line until you were caught up. It was a simple, yet perfect process. Somehow we lost that all. Woj, Haynes and Shams all needing to tweet out picks was the dumbest thing in a world of dumb shit.

All I know is it felt good to sit there and get shocked when a guy is walking out of the stands as a projected second round pick. It's how drafts need to be. We don't need the breaking news that we're getting in 2 minutes anyways. I do find it hilarious though that the tweet says he has no rivals now. The real thing is Shams works for ESPN, Woj isn't in the business so there's no race for it anymore. You don't have to worry about a guy spoiling picks. This is how it should be for everything. If we're going to find the news out in the coming minutes, just let it happen.
