The Ace Bailey Situation Cracks Me Up Because He Ended Up In Possibly The Worst City To Be An NBA Star

This Ace Bailey pre-draft situation was fun to follow. He tried and tried and tried to dictate who would draft him. He dodged pre-draft interviews and workouts. He was tanking his own stock, to the tune of millions up millions of dollars, to wind up in Washington, New Orleans, or Brooklyn. By the way, shout out to the Wizards! Is this the first time ever a top prospect has tanked to try to get to the Wizards???? We're so back.

So after dropping past Philly and Charlotte, two decently cool cities to play in, he was drafted in what many consider the absolute worst landing spot imaginable. Salt Lake City, Utah. Now, if you're a ski bird, you love SLC. If you're mormon, you couldn't be happier. If you're a 19 year old NBA star…you probably want to be anywhere else.

When asked if he was happy to go to Utah, Ace gave a very staunch response that definitely makes Jazz fans feel better….

What Ace Bailey coulda done: Been normal, get drafted 3rd overall by the Sixers, be happy.

What Ace Bailey did instead: Gave everyone headaches, tried to be bigger than the billion dollar NBA machine, wound up in SLC where curfew is 8:30pm. 

I'm just glad Utah took him at 5 and my Wiz got Tre "The New Steph Curry" at 6.
