It Appears That Jeremiah Smith (98 Overall) and Caleb Downs (96 Overall) Have The Highest Player Ratings In College Football 26
So the player ratings appear to be trickling in for the new College Football 26 video game that is set to release on July 10th, and surprise fucking surprise, the hands down best OFFENSIVE weapon in the sport, perhaps in the history of the sport, is the #1 ranked guy in the game. Now I'm not going to be a homer here, so I won't harp on for too long that a 98 overall rating seems rather low for someone who just rattled off a mere 381 yards and 5 touchdowns while being quadruple teamed every single game on the Buckeyes rampage to a National Championship. And I know what you're thinking, that stat line isn't that great if you had to faced teams like Arizona State, SMU, and Boise State on the way to the title. But the thing about Ohio State is they faced the toughest gauntlet in football history, where Jeremiah rattled those stats off against perennial powerhouses Tennessee, Oregon, Texas, and Notre Dame:
How's 2 SEC teams, the #1 ranked team in the country, and Notre Dame sound to you, EA Sports? 98 is low!
But the focus of today's blog is not just about Jeremiah Smith being the highest ranked player in the game, it also is to showcase that the next best player in the game is none other than…..his teammate Caleb Downs.

Again, I hate to do this but how is Caleb Downs a 96? I think he might even be better than Jeremiah! He's clearly the best player prospect heading into next year's draft, and he's as sure of a "hit" as any player in NFL history.
Seems like a 99 to me. Not sure why EA Sports is hating on the Buckeyes so much here?
Anyways, just to make sure this is not an Ohio State only blog, I'll toss in a little Penn State love as well: HOW THE FUCK IS DREW ALLAR THE #1 RANKED QUARTERBACK? Am I missing something with Drew Allar here? Everyone is hyping this man up like we all haven't seen him be dog water for three straight seasons. What's the furthest player rating someone has ever fallen in the College Football video game? Because once this Penn State team inevitably fails once again, on the back of Drew Allar, I think he goes from a 92 to a 29.
