A Reminder That Tyrese Haliburton Didn't Receive A Single Vote For NBA's Most Clutch Player
THE KID IS NAILS! add another clutch basket to the resume. The guy who received the most votes for most overrated player in the NBA, received ZERO votes for NBA's most clutch player of the year. Sure, one was a bullshit poll done by The Athletic, while the NBA voting is supposed to be done by basketball experts. Haliburton went 10/11 during the regular season and didn't receive a SINGLE vote for clutch player of the year, not even a measly 3rd place vote - I wish basketball experts would just admit they haven't watched a single Pacers game until at least round 2 of the playoffs.
No one is more clutch, and more efficient than Tyrese Haliburton. What Haliburton did in the regular season was phenomenal, now Hali is doubling down with a generationally clutch playoff run that will be talked about till the end of time. There are players that will play their entire career without having this many clutch moments on their resume, and Hali has done it in a single season, hell a single playoff run.
Haliburton is putting up these numbers at 25 years old, while only having been in the playoffs twice in his young career. So keep your individual regular season clutch awards, and overrated player polls, the only hardware this team cares about is the Larry O'Brien Trophy.
