DUDES ROCK: Making A Shrine For Your Ice Cream Helmet Collection Is A Brilliant Basement Project

Truthfully I don't love ice cream or baseball as much as Big Cat but even with that lack of love, this picture still stirred something inside of me. Something primal.

Maybe it's cause I'm getting older or maybe just been watching too many Mantiquing videos from Brandon F. Walker...

But goddamn does this idea RULE. Pure nostalgia & good vibes only.

What more could you want in life?

A trophy case for ice cream helmets from every MLB stadium is so simple yet so glorious for what it forces you to do. You gotta GO to get those puppies. Travel to a fun new city, pick out a sunny day, drink a bakers dozen o'beers, suck down some glizzys, heckle an outfielder or two, and wash it all down with a cold cup of 'cream. Go home with a giant smile on your face and a new artifact in your pocket.

There have been plenty of days worse than that in earth's illustrious history.

Plus that project could be done alone or with a friend or family member. Hell these lil helmets could end up being a pretty incredible heirloom someday too. But more than anything it's a project to feel purpose.

There's a real reason to get out of bed every morning. You gotta go collect those cream cups boy! It's certainly a better way to spend a day at the ballpark than what foul ball shit heel Zach Hample does. Either way the allure of eating ice cream definitely puts it over the top versus other collections.

No offense but lil bats & cream-less helmets make me feel nothing.

I don't have a basement, I'll likely never own a house, and I barely contain the will to live within me. But goddamnit am I fired up about possibly collecting some ice cream helmets this summer.

Might even start painting them too!

Now if you'll excuse me I got a few egg salad sandwiches to meal prep for the week.

Until next time enjoy some of Barstool's best baseball throwbacks below…

For the love of the game (best baseball movie ever IMO)
