This kid right here is the epitome of everything it takes to be a lacrosse goalie. You need to be an absolute lunatic. You need to operate strictly on heart and lunacy. All gas, and not even having your foot hover over the brakes once.
That was something truly special right there. Lawrenceville is an elite high school lacrosse team. They run their program like any top tier college team. So I'm sure they spend plenty of time at practice every day running through their clear. But turns out you don't need to actually run a clear when you've got a goalie like this who can just run through an entire team by himself.
Soak a few hits up high, run over anyone in his path, and then the pass may have been the most impressive part of this whole sequence. Not because it was a great pass or anything, but you'd figure most goalies in this situation would want the glory all for themselves and take the shot after taking it downfield like that. Not this fella right here. He's a team guy, and he knows the right play is to hit the skip down low for his boy on attack to finish up with a silky little behind-the-back. Goalie goals are great, but sometimes goalie assists are even better.
