The Official Trailer For The Fantastic Four: First Steps Came Out And Dare I Say This Movie Looks Really Fucking Good

Hand up, I'm not really sure what the difference is between the gaggle of teasers/trailers we've gotten of The Fantastic Four over the last few months and this "official" one. But I do have to admit this is the one that officially got me really excited about the movie (apologies for that horrendous dad joke).

Anyway, that trailer made me feel like this movie has a level of seriousness and importance to the MCU that the first family of Marvel should have. When you look back, it's actually kinda crazy how big Marvel movies were over the last 15 years considering they legally weren't able to use many of their biggest franchises. Thankfully all that shit is over and Marvel can start cooking with all their ingredients (other than whatever Spider-Man stuff Sony doesn't want to share), which is going to make people like this look even more like bozos come July.

As for the Official Trailer, I was worried what a stretched out Mr. Fantastic would look like considering the MCU's CGI hasn't exactly been clean as of late, but it seems like they nailed it and will only likely be better once the finished product is on the big screen. The Silver Surfer making me feel things in a way The Silver Surfer never has was weird, but I imagine I'll get over that in the theater. Most of all, The Fantastic Four actually feel like Earth's heroes and I believe them when they say they will protect the planet. I also completely expect Galactus and/or Dr. Doom to defeat them which will take us to the events of Doomsday. But that's a problem for Future Clem to worry about as he anxiously awaits the post credit scenes of First Steps, which better bring the fucking thunder unlike the one in Brave New World.

You know what? We aren't going to bring up the disappointing older MCU movies even if they are pretty new. It's full speed ahead for the future of Marvel starting with The Fantastic Four and I can't wait to see how this continues the redemption arc of the entire studio after Daredevil: Born Again got things rolling.
