The Browns Are Bringing Back The Last Quarterback To Take Cleveland To The Playoffs, Joe Flacco
I told myself I was done with this organization. Well, not jumping off forever, I'd never do that. But I was done acting like this franchise was more than the biggest dumpster fire in all of sports. Ever since I've written for Barstool, it's been optimism heading into every single Cleveland Browns season. I think I've written a Super Bowl Browns blog no less than 10 times....for a team that's won a grand total of zero Super Bowls....ever. And I told myself that this year, I'm going in with an expectation to be a big pile of dog shit. Go all in on the Buckeyes. Go all in on the Guardians. Go all in on the Cavs. But the Browns? Quit hyping them up and letting them tear me down.
UNTIL THIS MORNING. If I've said it once, I've said it a hundred fucking thousand times: this roster is a competent QB away from the playoffs. Kenny Pickett isn't it. Cam Ward / Shedeur wouldn't be it this year. But if we found a way to get a Kirk Cousins to Cleveland and use #2 for best player available, on the heels of bringing back Bitonio and signing Myles to an extension, I'd love where were at. And it saddens me to learn this morning that the Kirk Cousins dream is officially dead.....BECAUSE JOE FLACCO IS BACKOOOOOOO!!!!!
Folks he gave us the best 2 months of Cleveland Browns football of MY ENTIRE LIFE. How could I not be excited about this? Joe Flacco to Jerry Jeudy and Travis Hunter is going to feed families. And boys, if I have it my way, we snag Will Howard in the 4th to get mentored and be ready to take over next week.
I won't listen to anyone who says differently. This morning is a great day to be a Cleveland Browns fan. We can be good this year. And we can now use #2 to make sure we continue to be good next year, and the next, and the next.
