UPI News -- Uber released its annual "Lost & Found Index," an accounting of items left behind in ride-share cars including a mannequin head with human hair, a live turtle and a 5-gallon bucket of beans.

The 2025 Uber Lost & Found Index, released Tuesday, also revealed the most commonly left-behind items were phones, keys and wallets, with New York City being named "the most forgetful city."

Some of the most "unique" items cited by Uber included a mannequin head with human hair, a chainsaw, a Ghostbusters ghost trap, fresh breast milk, a live pet turtle, a urinal, a set of Shrek ears, 15 hookahs, a bouquet of 100 red roses, Ozempic, 10 live lobsters, a Viking drinking horn, a taxidermied rabbit and a passenger's divorce papers.

The food-related items on the index included a 5-gallon bucket of beans, 175 hamburger sliders, 108 eggs, 24 cans of corn and a "bucket" of feta cheese.

What a list. I find this fascinating. I went to the Cubs game Monday night for a few innings and hated that I had to carry a backpack from work. I used to not wear a coat to the bars because there was nowhere to put it. Baggage is a pain in the ass if you ask me. Now I understand that this is a wild country, and people have interesting job requirements or find themselves carrying, or maybe buying weird things and then needing to travel, but the spin zone I have out of this is these people can never let it be known they were the ones who lost these items.

I don't care what you needed it for, or how much of a pain in the ass it is to get it back, you have to just eat this one. Think about the awkwardness of the phone call trying to get a taxidermied rabbit. Or how much of a lunatic you look like chasing down a 5 gallon bucket of beans. You also can't let anyone else your friends with know you lost these items in conversation. That's crazier than editing mops out of photos. How are your friends supposed to look at you with a straight face? I feel like Uber should flag these people as potential problems moving forward. Anyone who carries 10 live lobsters should have a red flag on their account.
