We're +6.6 Units This Week! Let's Finish Our Gambling Week On A Positive Note

RECORD

59-95-2 (+2 units)

We had another solid day yesterday. We failed a hit on the home run prop, though I don't think it was a bad bet. Bryce Harper had a phenomenal game. It would not surprise me if I bet on him to go deep at some point in the near future. Hus August has been red hot. The Rangers rallied for four runs in the ninth inning to cover on the run line, and the Blue Jays took care of business against the Guardians and did the same. We've bounced back after what was a brutal stretch, and we find ourselves at +2 units on the year.

Mariners -1.5 (-135) against the Royals

I'm not that crazy about today's board, which is why I'm going to take it easy on this fine Sunday afternoon. I usually don't make bets like this. The value is very poor. At the same time, the Mariners are beating the absolute shit out of baseball teams right now. They hit seven home runs yesterday against the Royals, and today, they have their ace Luis Castillo on the mound to finish the series. For the time being, I might just keep riding with a Mariners until this hot streak wears off. Luis Castillo is dominant at his home park in Seattle. In 19 starts at T-Mobile Park, he is 8-3 with a 2.35 ERA. Even if he doesn't have his best stuff, I'm confident his offense will back him up. It seems like the entire Seattle lineup is seeing the ball ball right now. I'm all over the Mariners today.

Marcus Semien to homer (+360) against the Twins

Yeah, only two plays today. This board just didn't do much for me, but this home runs prop stood out right away. Once again, Marcus Semien has quietly been one of the best players in baseball. He's once again going to soar to another 6 WAR season and will probably be pretty high up in AL MVP voting. This has happened before. Seriously, why is he so underrated? I feel like we've been saying this for years. He's earned the big contract that the Texas Rangers gave him following the 2021 season. Over the last ten games, his power numbers have been down. He's only gone deep once and put together a .649 OPS. This is why the data is your friend. He's going up against Bailey Ober today. He's only seen Bailey Ober five times in his career, but he's collected three hits and two home runs. The Rangers got off the mat yesterday to win in Minnesota. That ninth-inning rally may have been the spark that they needed. I see Semien going bridge today.
