We're On An All-Time Cold Streak With Our Gambling Picks. The Good Vibes Will Return TODAY

RECORD

53-86-2 (-5.6 units)

Man, I’m going through it right now. There was a solid stretch where I was red hot. We were on fire for a few weeks, but there was a solid month in which I was really on a roll. I have crashed back down to earth like a shooting star. If there’s any consolation, there’s nowhere to go but up here. I’m not proud of this, but we’ve lost 11 straight bets. There’s no way that we will have another dead day. I legitimately like this board. The only way out is through. We’re going to get to the end of the season, and we’re going to get the good vibes back. Let’s take a look at today’s picks.

Phillies -1.5 (+135) against the Giants

The Phillies teed off on San Francisco’s pitching last night. That offense, as streaky as they can be, is one of the scariest in baseball when they get hot. Taijuan Walker is going for Philadelphia tonight. He’s had his struggles, but he’s won a lot of games. When we’re talking about gambling, that is important. When he takes the mound, odds are the Phillies will come out on top. And the Giants have been competitive all year, but they are entering a brutal stretch on their schedule. They got beaten up pretty badly last night. Hopefully, Philadelphia can keep that going.

Nationals ML (+160) against the Yankees

I’m really playing with fire here. I’ll admit that I’m taking a lot of my frustrations out on the Yankees team that screwed me over many times. But the Yankees just can’t get out of their own way right now. Carlos Rodon is going for New York. I have no idea what we can expect out of him. When he’s right, he can be dominant. He hasn’t been right all year, though. Josiah Gray has been one of the more underrated pitchers in baseball this season. That makes sense, not a whole lot of people nationwide are paying attention to the Washington Nationals, and while they are not a good team, they are bizarrely scrappy. It seems like the New York Yankees hit rock bottom with each passing day. If they lose tonight, the boo birds are going to be out in full force at Yankee Stadium. Considering how much the Yankees have been struggling, the value here is really good for Washington. I figured I’d take a flyer out on them.

Andrew McCutchen to homer (+500) against the Cardinals

Adam Wainwright versus Andrew McCutchen. If this is 2013, I'd run to a television to watch this game. Even though I'm joking, I have to acknowledge Andrew McCutchen is still doing the damn thing. He's a far cry from his MVP days, but he's still a pretty darn good major-league player. Sadly, the same cannot be said about Adam Wainwright. I've written blogs about this, but Waino is having arguably the worst final season that any great player has ever had. It's been tough to watch. What will not be tough to watch is if Andrew McCutchen goes deep against him tonight. You won't find a much bigger sample size than 87 plate appearances against a pitcher. In those 87 plate appearances, McCutchen has collected 25 hits and has homered three times. Wainwright has been a disaster this season, and he's given up a lot of hard contact. The signs point to him leaving one over the heart of the plate against Cutch this evening.
