A New Assassin's Creed Is Coming And It'll Include An Evolving Map

Reports are coming out that the next addition to the Assassin's Creed title will be named "Assassin's Creed Infinity" and it will include an evolving map/game similar to Fortnite. The devs have made it appear to sound larger than one single game. They want the future of AC to transition from a baton passing of game-to-game and become more focused on creating an Assassin's Creed world that evolves throughout time.

This sounds extremely similar to the Destiny model, which could be a W for Assassin's Creed if it's executed properly. But that's a big if as we saw Destiny 2 shoot itself in the foot.

Some Ubisoft fans were excited with the news, while others are longing for the next version of Splinter Cell.

Chef's Kiss Splinter Cell - what an amazing game! Something about a properly executed stealth game gives players the excitement and action they crave. I wouldn't be mad with another Splinter Cell.

Nothing will beat the OG Assassin's Creed games. The latest versions of the series have become so expansive and so in-depth that it's overwhelming for the casual AC fan.

On the other hand, for the hardcore AC fans, these games play much better and you can get lost within the game for DAYS and barely make a dent in the overall game.

Any time I play this style of RPG (role playing game), I HAVE to complete 100% of the missions. It's part of my gaming OCD and makes these games take much longer when I dive into them. Back in the day, I prided myself on having an extremely high gamerscore compared to my friends. Play MLB the Show for fun? Nah, let's try to complete all the achievements first. So that tells you a little bit about how I used to enjoy games.

Achievement hunting is a lost art btw. RIP.

Alright back to AC - ACII and Brotherhood are properly two of my favorite video games of all time. Sneaking around Florence as Ezio was a thrill like no other. Way ahead of it's time and truly revolutionary. The action was intense and the storyline was even deeper than you could have imagined.

Whereas the AC hype has fallen off for me, I re-found this same fun and energy when I first played through Shadow of War and Shadow of Mordor. If you are a fan of Lord of the Rings and Assassin's Creed, I promise that you will fall in love with this game after the first mission. TRUST ME
