The Hometown Kid and Barstool 500 Attendee Conor Daly Led the Indy 500
Awesome story with Indiana's hometown boy, Conor Daly, taking the lead at the Indy 500. There are 135,000 fans in attendance today at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and they went wild when he made the pass. Daly moved up into the mix after the first caution of the race when Stephen Wilson crashed going into pit lane.
This was right in the middle of the first round of pit stops and it changed up the entire order of the field with Scott Dixon who started on pole getting shuffled all the way to the back of the field. That opened the door for Daly who pitted at the right time. Still tons of racing left and it would be awesome to see Daly end up kissing the bricks.
They also mentioned during the broadcast that Daly was at the Barstool 500 party on Friday with Machine Gun Kelly. He's already won the Barstool 500, now it's time for him to go out and win the Indy 500. The double-double of racing that every kid dreams of winning: the Barstool 500 and the Indy 500 in the same weekend.
