Awesome Twitter Thread On The Late “Geeby” Dajani and His Influence On Music

Came across this on the twitter last night and thought this guy's story was pretty amazing.

It started with this first tweet of a punk rock show at the notorious CBGB club in NYC, and a young-looking kid stage diving from behind the band.

Imagine being 18 and being able to brag to your friends your shit was in a movie as sick as The Warriors?

I love old school show bills. So much fucking more dope than the graphically designed e-flyer's we have nowadays.

Also "Reagan Youth" is such a great 80s punk rock band name.

MCA was a prodigy.

(sidebar - can we talk about how, with the amount of straight-up rubbish tv shows that are on air for years, a show like "How To Make It In America" runs for 2 seasons, gets great reviews and was beloved by fans, then gets canceled? Makes no sense)

I had never heard this guy's name before coming across this thread but I love learning about the backstories of music and pop culture so thought it was really fascinating. This guy played a major influence in 1980's New York music scene probably without even realizing it. R.I.P.
