A Fresh Prince Of Bel Air Reunion Is Officially On The Way

Variety - The cast of “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” is reuniting at HBO Max to celebrate the show’s 30th anniversary.

Series star Will Smith and series regulars Tatyana Ali, Karyn Parsons, Joseph Marcell, Daphne Maxwell Reid, and Alfonso Ribeiro will all be part of the special, as will DJ Jazzy Jeff. It is set to tape on Sept. 10 and is slated to debut on HBO Max around Thanksgiving.

This marks the latest project centered on the classic sitcom this year. The cast also reunited back in April for Smith’s Snapchat series “Will From Home.” Earlier this month, it was announced that Smith and Westbrook are developing a drama reboot of the series based on Morgan Cooper’s viral video “Bel-Air.”

Hell yeah buddy.

This is awesome news on two fronts.

First, we're getting what sounds like a full participation reunion from the cast except of course for the first Aunt Viv and the late Uncle Phil (James Avery R.I.P.)

But it's disgraceful they left us hanging on if Nia Long (Lisa) will be included. If so, that means all the stars are aligning for Will Smith to drop Jada Pinkett like a bad habit and rekindle the flame with Nia Long.

Another burning question heading into this will be who is going to toss Jazz out now that the big man has passed? I would say Carlton now that he is most likely the man of the house, but is Alphonso Ribiero physically capable?

Also a mention to the new reboot, which KenJac reported on back in August, which sounds like it's going to make for great TV with the way they're spinning it as a drama.

If you have no clue what this is in reference to, check out the video below, which went viral and caught the attention of producer Benny Medina and Will Smith who are both supporting the new project.
