Kim Kardashian Speaks Out On Kanye's Mental Health, Asks For Compassion & Empathy
I thought this was beautifully written (yes, ok, even if a PR team was involved). No surprise here - I'm a bleeding heart, and I know it's easy to rip on the Kardashians but I feel for her & the kids, and especially for Kanye and what he's going through.
I've seen what it's like trying to get someone you love help who is unable to accept it.. It feels like being on a rescue boat tossing out life rafts but they keep flailing instead of grabbing hold, even when it's right in front of them. You feel desperate, frantic and helpless and it's absolutely gut-wrenching. I imagine all this unfolding so publicly only exacerbates the troubles.
Bi-polar is a tricky thing, but there are tons of people out there with bi-polar disorder living fulfilling lives with happy families and successful jobs. A strong, understanding support system & proper treatment is usually part of that and often takes lifelong care, but it's extremely possible & so well worth the work. Hope he's able to get to a point where he accepts the help he needs so we can go back to roasting him for weird shoes & such.
