The saying ‘the Internet stays undefeated’ is a bit played out. However, this is a prime example of the Internet winning all the goddamn time. The Internet and Rich Paul just bullied that dumbass organization known as the NCAA into amending a rule. Let’s take a quick look at the this timeline.

Six days ago the NCAA put out some new rules in regards to agents

Essentially they made it tougher for guys like Rich Paul – those without a bachelor’s degree to represent any player testing the water. Hell, they banned it. It was one of the dumbest things they did in terms of limiting who players can work with. You simply can’t do that if you’re the NCAA – you have to pretend like you’re not running this corrupt of an organization.

Two days later the NCAA put out a statement about their statement because they were getting roasted so bad

Bold strategy when you know you’re fucked. Instead of going complete quiet they ended up having people talk about how dumb they are. Almost respect it to a degree.

Then THIS MORNING, Rich Paul wrote an op-ed piece talking about how dumb the rule was and how it won’t necessary hurt him, but others like him. It’s actually well done and I suggest reading it. It’s a good look from an agent side into this:

And now, less than 6 hours later the NCAA has amended the rule. That’s almost impossible. The NCAA doesn’t change. They don’t cave into anything. They make dumbass rulings, give dumbass reasons why and then stick to it. It just shows that Rich Paul and the Internet rule everything.

Let’s light our cigars. This one is a win from all of us. We all chimed in – whether it was writing the blog, tweeting, commenting, whatever. We all won this, so fuck you NCAA. I got two words for you
