We Had Another Bench Clear In Box Lacrosse This Week. When Will The Madness Stop?

Over the weekend we saw this massive fight break out between the Six Nations Rivermen and the Owen Sound North Stars. It was game 1 of the OLA Sr. B semifinals, and what should have been the start to a great series was unfortunately overshadowed by a gruesome bench clearing brawl.

You’d think that maybe the rest of the box lacrosse community would take notice of this fight and start to tone it down a little. I mean this just isn’t how you respect the Creator’s Game. Unfortunately, however, the madness has continued and we had another bench clear breakout between a bunch of paperweights later in the week.

Wow. Just wow. Sticks and gloves are all over the floor. We’ve got kids swinging hands. We’ve got kids swinging feet. And the worst part of all? It doesn’t even look like the ref is trying to step in to stop any of this. In fact, he’s joining in on the madness. He actually looks just a litttttle too excited to show off that he knows how to do one of the dances from Fortnite. Trying just a little too hard to get the approval from a bunch of 6 year olds, but that’s neither here nor there. Because for the 2nd time in a week, the benches were cleared and the sticks and gloves were dropped. Just tough to see.

P.S. – Kid breakdancing on the floor is going places in life. Believe that.
