A-Rod Officially Denies Having a Painting of Himself as a Centaur Hanging Over His Bed - Yeah Okay

We live in a world where things get disproven all the time. It’s up to us to believe in facts or legend in these cases. In my history of life on this planet, I lean on legend, such as alligators roaming around the sewers of New York City, drinking lots of alcohol keeps you warm, and the Loch Ness Monster being real. You could probably show me numbers and facts to disprove those myths, but I won’t believe you. Today we were handed another attempt at disproving reality by the NY Times. According to a recent interview with A-Rod, the former Yankees third baseman does not have a painting of himself as a centaur hanging over his bed.

NY Times: There’s that rumor about your having a portrait of yourself as a centaur.

A-Rod: 100 percent not true. I wish it was true because it’s such a cool story.

Alex you rascal, you sly devil you. I know your tricks. You can tell me that JFK wasn’t killed by the government, you can try to convince me that the Denver airport is just an airport, but don’t think you can disprove A-Rod’s famous centaur painting being real. Fuck outta here. I get that Alex is trying to wipe his entire past away and redo his image in his post-playing days, but this one plays with everyone. Here is the quote from his unnamed ex in the original US Weekly article from 2009.

“He had not one, but two painted portraits of himself as a centaur. You know, the half man, half horse figure?”

Adds the ex, “It was ridiculous.”

A-Rod and centaurs are like spaghetti and meat balls. I wouldn’t be shocked if he had a centaur painting in every room. It’s probably the background on his phone. If you believe this New York Times article then you probably think the Earth is flat. I choose to not associate myself with these people and live a better, healthier life.

A-Rod forever.
