Shaq Went Into A Mosh Pit At Ultra Without Security And It was SOMETHING

Look, I’ve always loved The Big Aristotle. Not only is he the greatest big man of all time, he an absolute legend off the court. From commercials, to movies, to albums, to sneakers, to commentating, and most recently Deejaying- the guy does it all. He’s universally loved by everyone other than Charles Barkley and has always sought the spotlight.  Which is why I wasn’t surprised when he posted an Instagram of himself in the middle of a sea of ravers at Ultra Music Festival in Miami. Having said that, this video is concerning for several reasons. First of all, Shaq is wayyyyy too famous to be anywhere without security. I don’t care if it’s the grocery store or a concert surrounded by a bunch of drunk bros spending daddy’s WAM on Molly and wrist bands, he needs to be protected. It’s too much of a safety risk. Not just for Shaq either, but for the people around him. Like imagine if he actually started throwing his weight around? It’d be game over. He did it a little towards the end and you can see people start to get scared. Looking at you, pony tail guy.

Second of all, if you are going to go somewhere without security, a mosh pit is not the place to go. Mosh pits are where the human trash congregate. They’re for the bottom feeders of society. The juggalos and goths who started experimenting with drugs a little too early and have a little too much to prove. For them, a mosh pit isn’t a spontaneous formation of overly physical concert goers, it’s a way of life. They treat the pit as a war zone. The further in you go the more badass you are. Shaq doesn’t need that in his life. Don’t get me wrong, I commend him for being a man of the people, it just makes me nervous. I was in a mosh pit one time in 2001 at a Papa Roach concert at the Worcester Palladium and the freaks I saw in there will never be erased from my memory.

Anyway, shout out to lil Jon for still being able to bring the house down every time he steps on a stage. The concert looked like a blast. Take it away, Diesel.
