Throwback Thursday: Frank The Tank's Opening Day Meltdown Against NJ Transit

Everybody has their favorite Opening Day moments. Tuffy Rhodes going YABO three times off of Doc Gooden, Clayton Kershaw dogwalking the Giants with a complete game shutout and knocking in the go-ahead run, or if you are an Old maybe it’s Hank Aaron hitting number 714 and tying Babe Ruth’s Home Run record.

But mine is Frank The Tank zooming into America’s hearts like a 100 MPH Noah Syndergaard fastball because New Jersey Transit was running late the day of the Mets opener. I couldn’t tell you what the score of that game was or which pitcher got the W. But I can tell you that New Jersey Transit is the absolute worst and INCOMPETENT. If you asked me for an actual highlight of the video, it would be Frank’s hat popping up as he spits hot fire yet somehow staying perfectly on his head while he lost his mind on TV.

Just an absolutely legendary moment by an absolute legend. I’m not saying I will be bouncing my grandkids on my knee years from now as I tell them about Frank Fleming’s legendary 2017 Opening Day. But I’m also not saying I won’t be doing it either.
