Should Evander Kane Get His Ass Whipped For Running Strome And Crawford Last Night?

Dangerous play. Hard play. BUT…Evander Kane is going to the net. That’s where goals are and he has a right to that ice as well. Dylan Strome called it a “hockey play” post-game. I’ve had other people reach out to me saying that it was a “very dirty play” which assumes that Evander Kane was intentional with his actions as opposed to just battling. Let’s check-in with Blackhawks fans to get their opinion.

A small sample size of reasonable people asking for Evander Kane’s head on a stake. A lot of people who probably think Patrick Kane is a pussy, Q should’ve been fired, and that the refs stole the game from us. They’re fule for the brain of our friend, Gas Money Bob.

Having said that….I don’t think they’re wrong. Was it dirty? I’m not 100% sure. If it was Logan Couture barreling to the net and not a guy with the reputation of Evander Kane then maybe the whole narrative would’ve been different. But it ain’t. It was Evander Kane. And this is why you need to have an element of vigilante justice in the NHL. The Dept of Player Safety will NEVER penalize Evander Kane for this because the nature of the play and how fast it was moving. That means someone on the Blackhawks should’ve made him answer the bell. Can’t have Evander Kane playing recklessly(at best) and end your goalie’s season and potentially his career and have that go unpunished. So yeah, season isn’t over. I’d like to see Hayden, Manning, or anyone challenge Evander Kane before the year is out.
