Of Course There's Footage Of Allegedly The Atlantic City Mayor And An Elected Councilman Throwing Hands Outside Of A Casino

NBCPHILLY – No criminal charges are being pursued against Atlantic City’s mayor, a city councilman and three other people involved in an altercation outside a casino this month. Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland announced Wednesday that his office wouldn’t file charges stemming from the dispute. Sutherland added that citizen’s complaints filed against Mayor Frank Gilliam and Councilman Jeffree Fauntleroy will be addressed in North Wildwood municipal court next month. The early morning altercation occurred Nov. 11 outside Atlantic City’s Golden Nugget casino.

Um…so? We’re talking about AC here. I’d be more shocked if there WASN’T video footage of the mayor and a city councilman duking it out with random casino pedestrians. Remember Boardwalk Empire? I don’t, really. Solid premise but way too slow for my taste, even if Steve Buschemi is delightful in basically anything. But I’m pretty sure elected officials had the right, nay, the duty to rumble in the streets whenever they pleased, even back in the day. How else are you supposed to keep order in that damn city? Trump tried to take it over: FAIL. They tried to make it family oriented with outlets while attempting to disguise the stench coming out of Bare Essentials: FAIL. Hey, at least they sold the ultra-Vegas casino resort, Revel, for a cool $200 million…even though it was built that cost $2.6 BILLION: HOLY SHITBALLS OF A FAIL.

Face it, either you fight in Atlantic City, or Atlantic city fights you. Either way, you’re throwing down to survive. CUE THE MUSIC!
