Zoë Kravitz Recreates Mom Lisa Bonet's Spread For "The Hot Issue" Rolling Stone Cover

ENews- Zoë, whose father is rock star Lenny Kravitz, was thrilled to participate in the annual issue. “I’ve kind of stayed away on purpose from referencing my parents, because I’ve been just trying to create my own identity. But I feel like it’s a good time. I feel comfortable in my own skin. And it’s nice to do that homage to them,” the actor says. “Because I love them! They’re my parents!”

So, what does Zoë think it means to be “hot” in 2018?

“To me ‘hot’ means someone who’s vibrant and confident and comfortable with who they are,” the Big Little Lies star says. “Young Mick Jagger. Aretha Franklin. When somebody allows themselves to be who they are unapologetically—and they’re a good person—that’s really hot.”

Rolling Stone Magazine took to Instagram to debut the new cover of “The Hot Issue 2018″ with Zoë Kravitz. The caption reads, “Zoë appears on our latest cover. She explains to Josh Eells why she decided to be naked and recreate her mom Lisa Bonet’s shoot from 30 years ago. “I’ve always loved that cover so much,” she says. “When I think of ‘Rolling Stone,’ that’s always the image that pops into my head. It’s a really striking image of her. It’s beautiful.”

This was Lisa Bonet’s cover from May 1988:

Lisa is clothed in her cover, but she did a full nude shoot as well. So Zoë followed for her spread 30 years later.

HOT DAMN. Zoë just following in her mother’s footsteps absolutely killing it. Zoë is the daughter of Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet so you know she just has cool running through her veins. She was actually present in the 1988 shoot, Lisa was two months pregnant at the time. She’s also one of the coolest chicks and currently making her own name for herself in Hollywood starring in movies like Divergent, X-Men First Class, Mad Max: Fury Road, Fantastic Beasts and TV shows like Big Little Lies.

Plus, Lisa Bonet is actually ageless. Lisa and Zoë look like sisters more than mother and daughter.
