Jean Claude Van Damn-It, Son... You Can't Hold Your Roommate At Knifepoint

How angry is Jean Claude that his son used a knife instead of a round-house kick or death punch?

The son of actor Jean-Claude Van Damme was sentenced to 18 months probation Wednesday.

Nicholas Van Varenberg pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct on Aug 15, stemming from a 2017 incident where he held his roommate at knifepoint in their Tempe apartment. Police say Van Varenberg became upset at his unidentified roommate for answering the door, grabbed a knife and kept his roommate from leaving the apartment.

Surveillance video showed Van Varenberg attempting to drag his roommate back into their apartment after he escaped but was unsuccessful, police paperwork said. The roommate ran downstairs afterward and escaped telling authorities the suspect refused to let him leave.

Getting attacked by someone from that bloodline for simply opening a door has to be terrifying. Especially considering Nicholas’s mom is former pro-female bodybuilder Gladys Portugues van Varenberg.

I wouldn’t mess with his sister, Bianca Brigitte Van Damme, either.
