Cristin Milioti Fell Down And Dropped Her Emmy (Pretty Much As Soon As She Won It) This Weekend

Cristin Milioti was far and away the biggest winner from the Emmys for me. I was blown away by her performance as Sofia Falcone/Gigante in 'The Penguin', which had me begging for more out of such an obscure character in the Batman universe, and the Golden Globes giving her award to Jodie Foster for the last season of 'True Detective' pissed me off so much. I generally don't even care who wins at these things, but that one just struck a chord with me, and I went on a full campaign for Milioti to get the Emmy. I've been tweeting about it and mentioning it on the podcast for months, and really tried to put the pressure on Hollywood from My Mom's Basement.

When she won, and then delivered the most heartfelt, best speech of the night - I was elated on an almost embarrassing level. It felt like one of my teams won a big game, or a "movie championship" as Jeff D Lowe once put it....

Devlin did a great job blogging that HERE, and shortly afterwards, some videos from the afterparty came out - including one of Cristin Milioti falling and dropping her Emmy on the floor just hours after winning it. And it wasn't like, an almost drop where she saved it at the last minute....that thing hit the ground with force. Full on THUDDED on concrete.

You know what, though? I think that kinda rocks. Gives it some character, and some Sofia-type grittiness and flair! It's like Gronk denting the Lombardi; shit happens when you're celebrating a huge win. And it only makes me a bigger Cristin Milioti fan.
